Is AACOMAS academic update required?

I'm finishing up a couple of undergrad classes and I'm worried I might end up with a C or D in one of them. The course is listed as in progress on my primary app. Is academic update required? Will schools not consider my file complete until I update with in progress grades? Thanks in advance.

Even if you don't update it on AACOMAS, if you were to go to a school get interviewed/accepted, they would still require your whole transcript. Seeing that you got C's or D's in some courses is grounds to get your acceptance revoked. Might as well be honest from the start.
