Can school rescind offers out of nowhere after paying the deposit?

Assuming the student has no infraction, run in with the laws, good grades in senior year......ect, can someone in the admission just rescind your acceptance out of the window because they didn't like you or some absurd reason?

I wake up every day fearing the worst ;(
