Hey All, I was wondering if it is considered late applying to dental school in July sometime or if it would hurt my chances at all, considering my stats:

Overall GPA - 3.792
Bio GPA - 3.84
Physical Sciences GPA - 3.718
Bio - 18; 64.6%
GC - 20; 81.3%
OC - 20; 81.3%
TS - 20; 86.2%
QR - 18; 75.8%
RC - 23; 94.5%
AA - 20; 87.1%
PAT - 19; 73.7%

My main top choices are UOP, UCSF, UNLV, UCLA

👍

of course it's still early. When I sent my apps out I received several letters stating that the dental school was still in the process of filling in the upcoming class and won't get to the applications until at least xyz month. Of course there are rumors that say adcoms keeps a track of when apps come in, but that's just hear say so I couldn't give you a definite answer.

Early to mid july should still be fine, especially with your stats. Is there a reason you don't want to submit in june?

Applying early is important but I think it's overrated. I submitted around Aug 15 and was fine.. Just get those pre- Dec 1 interviews and you're good to go. 👍

agreed, the earlier the better. at least that would put you ahead of the other applicants in the later pools.
