Is being a Teaching Assistant considered an Extracurricular activity

I feel like this may be a gray area, but I have been a teachign assistant for molecular biology, physics, general chemistry. Should I consider these activities extracurricular.

Something to put down on AMCAS activities section and your CV? yes.

ABSOLUTELY.

Absolutely put it on your resume, CV, AMCAS, you name it.


I would also recommend saving your student evaluations in case you need to create a teaching portfolio someday if you're interested in academic medicine.

Yeah, especially if we're doing it for credit instead of money? Haha it's technically "curricular" since it shows up on the transcript as a class.
 
Do it enough and you can become a glorious MCAT tutor paid at $25-40 an hour, like me!
