Is Bootcamp sufficient for QR? And do I need to actually prepare for RC?

I was thinking of just using Bootcamp and not Math Destroyer for QR. Would I be missing a lot of important problems this way?

Also, I am majoring in the liberal arts and have always read a lot so I think I have decent reading skills so would it still be a good use of time to do practice RC sections on bootcamp? I was thinking of just reading through the passages and answering the questions because I'm a relatively fast reader.

you should practice the reading lol, its a different skill set than just being a fast reader

I just used Bootcamp and Destroyer and it served me well. RC is pretty tough on Boot camp in the sense that it doesn't follow the same structure as the DAT. PM me if you have any questions and good luck!

Wow, awesome scores! I noticed you used search and destroy for the RC.. is there a reason why people do that? Is it otherwise really difficult to read through all of the passages?

Thanks! The passages aren't exactly long, but they are dense with facts and anything can be questioned on. Search and destroy works if you read super fast and can skim well. I actually ended with extra time on the reading using that method, it's just risky if the questions end up being more conceptual.

I did 2 bc Rc tests to see where I stood and first one got a 20 second 22. That's all I plan on doing besides other full length exams right before my exam.

I was making around a 20 on bootcamp RC before my exam so you should be fine! Good luck!

math destroyer is the only reason why I scored a 30 on QR... lol if you take that book seriously there shouldn't be a math question you can't figure out.

If you can hit in 20s on boot camp for reading I would put little time into it.

The QR section on the DAT really parallels what you find in DAT Destroyer QR and Math Destroyer. A decent amount of the questions on the actual DAT did not require as much work (at least for my exam). For example conversion problems were very straight forward "What is 49 degrees Celsius in Fahrenheit..." and other word questions were very similar to Math Destroyer. I remember getting a "find the average speed" question that completely mirrored math destroyer.

As far as RC I would definitely do some practice tests just to fine tune your strategy under the time constraint. The overall layout (every time you go to a new question the passage goes back to the beginning, placement of the passage and questions etc) and the type of questions were similar to Bootcamp RC, but the passage length differed with each on my exam. One had about 12-13 paragraphs which is similar to what you find on Bootcamp, if I remember correctly and another had much more, but smaller paragraphs which is more of what you'd find in QVault RC. This is just my personal experience, but I definitely suggest going through some RC practice. It wont hurt.
