Hey everyone. I'm just wondering why the University of Colorado is very expensive compared to other schools? I'm a non resident, but even as a resident of the state, it seems that the prices are very high compared to other dental schools? Am I looking at the right numbers or is there something I'm missing? Thanks again!

I don't think some things are accurate on this list, Doc. Colorado says on their site that just tuition and fees is about $85,000/year, whereas Kentucky is about $85,000 a year with living expenses included.

For Non-Resident? $59,720 for tuition and the student support fee is $25,303 for dental students. Am I missing something?

I think you might be right...when I looked at the chart I thought the OOS tuition already took into account the 25k student support fee. Now I think that it doesn't. The WICHE states probably don't need to pay the student support fee but everyone else does.

WOW...makes the program very expensive.

VERY expensive. It's a ridiculous amount of money. That's insane, $85,000 without even taking living into account. I want Doc to be informed also, because it makes his cost of living excel sheet a little inaccurate. Just want everyone to be aware. It's almost as expensive as NYU hahaha

Its a great deal for in-state. Cost of living in Aurora (where the school is) is really low at least.

However, I wouldn't worry too much about the costs of schools if you have already applied there until you are accepted. You don't have a decision to make yet and I am sure those who are accepted will adequately research the cost of the school on their own before making a final decision to attend.

Yeah of course. It's just very tough for an out of state resident to cough up that much for just tuition/fees.

It is not clear what trip wire you hit since the figures given by UCO website are identical to those available from the 2012 ADEA Guide. Kentucky shows about a 5K increase in the tuition. In any case, whatever issues you may have regarding the "accuracy" of the info you will need to address them to ADEA, UCO or UK.

I'm saying that Colorado tuition/fees = Kentucky tuition/fees/living expense. So on the excel sheet, it states otherwise.
