Is cv same as a resume?

A resume is a brief summary of your skills, experience and education, where the resume reader spends a minute or two looking at it just to get a good idea of your qualifications. They should be kept to 1 page if possible and never more than 2 pages.
OTOH, a Curriculum Vitae is a more detailed summary of your educational and academic background. You want to include teaching experience, awards, publications, honors, awards...etc. It should be at least two (and probably more) pages.
