Is DAT average increasing?

hello guys,
I feel like DAT average is changing.
I thought national average is ~17 and matriculant avg is ~20 (I highly doubt on this statistics because i got 18 on RC section and percentile was like ~38 %)
However, there are so many people with 21+.
Back in the days, 20 was the "magic number" but it seems like it is 24+ these days.

I was just wondering what you guys think

Yes it is increasing and has every year for the last 4 years.

Average applicant DAT used to be ~17 and now its ~18.7

Average matriculant DAT used to be ~18 and now it's ~19.9

I would say 20 is the "magic number" now.

If SDN is a close approximation of the actual applicant pool, I would say the AA average would be 20.x this year.

I agree. The average DAT seems to be increasing every year.

And SDN is probably not the typical pool. The persons posting on SDN usually have better-than-average scores, hence they post.
You don't see too many with below-average scores posting a breakdown, now do you?

Go look at your ADEA guide or what Doc toothache just posted.

The average DAT score of applicants AND enrollee's has increased EVERY year for the last 4 years

Thats quite a jump from 19 to 19.9 (2009 to 2012)

+2 AA since 2008 is pretty big. It's all Chad's fault.

I had a lot of trouble with the DAT last year but I'm hoping for 20+ this time around. I write in approx 1.5 weeks.

Mmmm... where are you getting this info from?

I know in doc's excel spreadsheet a lot of those were up to 20 or very near that for AA scores.
