Is Depression worth mentioning if it affected my coursework?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
actually i don't know. i was going to say that depression would make you appear as if you were unable to handle the stresses and possibly depression from dental school. but your depression could just have been circumstantial rather than clinical so I don't know.

Just gonna put it out there: in one of my interviews, they questioned one of my grades that I tanked on, to which I basically answered that I genuinely fcuked up and they loved it. This specific interviewer told me that too many students use depression as an excuse for low grades, which they don't buy.

the problem with it being circumstantial depression is that I think dental schools would hate to see you do poorly in school or even postpone a year because of a sad event that may occur in dental school. they want to see resilience. i know of one person who said he had bad grades because of family issues and i know of another person whose family member passed away but still did well in dental school.
