Is dropping beneath 15 credits a problem (for applying to competitive dental schools like UCSF, UCLA, ivies, etc.)

For context, at my school 12 credits/semester hours is considered full-time. I am thinking of taking a lighter load this semester since this is my last semester before applying, and I need to get my materials ready and take the DAT. Would it be okay if I drop a science class and replace it (only taking two instead of three) and take only 13 credits instead of the 14/15 I was originally planning to take? I would appreciate anyone with experience on admissions committees to give me some insight. I feel I can also maintain my GPA better and do more outside of classes if I take only 13.

Thank you so much!

If you are still full time, okay. Just kill the test. Need more context of which classes.

Also, are you taking it with the 3-digit score (after March 1)?

Hi Mr.Smile12 - I see your posts a lot (and I am grateful for your presence on here) - I am in a similar situation as the person above. I attend a small t20 (only about 20 predents from freshman-senior) - I have 3.88gpa, 3.9 sgpa, (imo) good volunteering/shadowing/etc. I am taking the DAT in a couple months, so I will have the new 3-digit score. I am taking a reduced course load this semester - still full time - but I don't want to sacrifice DAT or GPA. I am taking chill courses, not any hard/traditional sciences this semester - mostly things to progress my major and some of those non-science prereqs like humanities/etc. This summer and fall I will be finishing the hard science prereqs. I would appreciate any advice or insight!
