I just found out today that my annual wage adjustment will appear on this Friday's check and I'm getting 4.49% increase. Given the bad economy and many corporations are firing people I have to say I'm happy with the increase. My store is not even a busy one (~1100 scripts/wk).

lol the two pharmacists I work with, both who are eckard to cvs transferees, are highly dissatisfied with theirs. They both are told during their evals that despite having the highest overall increase in scripts at their store and having a 98% SSS, that they are evaulated as satisfactory and therefore get the 3% raise thereof. I find it funny when a 25 year veteran makes less money than a new hiree. IE For the area i am at, new hires make just at 51 an hour where as both of the pharmacists i work with are only at 48.5

The way Oldtimer toots their horn you would think he receives a happy ending after every shift.

I think I automatically get a 3 or 4% increase and a $5000 "thanks for not leaving" bonus after my first year. And my health benefits package is only $30 a pay period....lol. Gotta love the lower middle sized quasi-rural hospitals....

You got that in writing? If not, don't bet your farm on it. Not saying you won't... just saying.

Wow, I am PIC of my store, do 2300 a week and got 4.25%. SSS is at 90% but execution is not too good. Still, with limited overlap and filling 400+, i feel I was...ohhhh never mind. They probably have corporate spies on here!! I Loooovvveee CVS...(Sarcasm)

Dear Mike,

You will automatically get a 3% or 4% increase after 1 year. IF you've been a bad boy, you'll get a 3% increase. If you've been a good boy, you'll get a 4% increase...

That's a peculiar offer letter...

Their pay rate weans up with years of experience. And, yes, I fully expect the evaluation to be created in a way that it's impossible to get the highest pay raise. Oh well. It's about a difference of $7 for the first five years..then it kinda plateaus. It's nice to know that in 2012, I can just quit my other full time job at Dunkin Donuts.

you'll probably end up with a different job with a higher salary..
Heck..take a DOP job at a semi rural hospital..

This is the only job in the world where people get a 4%+ raise and are not satisfied........ How much of an increase would it take to make you happy?

Yes there are spies! As you can see Old Timer just responded to your post.....

old timer, if 4% makes you happy and content, that's great for you. I have read your posts and you seem content with where you are in life. My discontent is the amount of effort I put into my job and the amount of scripts I fill as well as my performance. I am not here to say I am better than him or her, but honestly, 12 hour days, 400+ a day with no overlap and whatever else, yeah i get a bit discouraged. I am not saying I wasn't greatful for my raise, but compared to the crap I put up with, 0.25% over my counterparts who fill half as many rx's is a slap in the face. That is all.

My store did 2320 this week. Beat LY by 300 rx's and budget by 200. Id say my 0.25% less was not well deserved.😉

First, I am NOT a DM or a Pharmacy Supervisor.
The question is are you making more or the same per hour as the guy who is doing less prescriptions? You might want to make an appointment with your DM or supervisor and ask for a slower store. Or look at getting a job where your talents will be appreciated.....

Almost no job is getting 4% increases.......

did that 5 months ago. Actually put my 2 weeks in...they didnt want to transfer me cause they literally had no one to take over as PIC. I stayed and am still there. Oldtimer, as experienced as you may be, you dont always have all the answers my friend. You aren't always right, and sometimes you are too pro-CVS its kind of scary. But to each their own! 😉

I'm not the one in an unhappy under appreciated job. You need to leave. If you have a firm Job offer, then take it. They will either offer you more or let you go. Either way, problem solved....

I have my plans...🙄

I got almost 5%, my DM also thought I was quitting.

A recruiter offered me a job at a local hospital and I had a phone interview with them this morning. They offered sub 100k. Almost a 40k pay cut? NO F'ING WAY.

Retail is rough, but not that rough.

Aahhh hell no, retail isnt that rough to take a 40k pay cut! Id never do that...im talking about 0.25%, not 40k. Ill get the drive thru anyday before i take a 40k paycut...

Dude you need to get out of there. That sounds like hell to me....literally. That is the bad thing about CVS and Walgreens and really any corporate retail chain. They don't give a crap about you. All they want is more and more volume with less and less hours. Honestly, if I were you I would consider a 40k a year pay cut to get out of there.

Agreed.

If your doing 400 alone I hope your pulling 60/+ hr.

Im pretty sure I would have gotten a 3% raise, but my supervisor heard through the grapevine I was considering a move and thats what got me 5%.

Theirs another pharmacist in the area thats the pic at his store that does a volume similar to yours. Its in a rough ghetto with questionable help. He pulls down serious money because of the volume and sheer fact no one wants to go there.

I wouldnt take a pay cut and go to hospital, but Id definetly suggest you start trying to hit your sup up for some decent compensation.

Just FYI I think Wags is paying their PICs ~60/hr, regardless of volume.

Consider me ignorant, but what is PIC (Pharmacist in Charge? lol)?
