Is it possible that Insanity is a fundamental evolutionary function necessary for the natural world to increase complexity among conscious intelligent beings. It is a way by simple trial and error to further interpret more complex thought patterns than the brain is currently capable of processing into their simple iterative components. If this is true technology may or may not be able to irradicate insanity. Reasons being that removing insanity could cause a stagnation in iterative thinking capabilities that lead to innovation. Perhaps we can develop technology powerful enough interpret more than the absolute maximum number of computational scenarios a mind can imagine.

Thoughts?

If this is the case it would seem to be impossible to predict insanity even after genetic components are fully isolated and known quantities. Insanity would in essence be in a state of superposition with genius and removing insanity might remove the same processes necessary for genius.

anyone?

Bump... I want to see answers to this
