Many ppl who have been to interviews said just relax and be yourself, and don't over prepare. It seems like it is the easiest step of the application process compared to writing DAT, getting LOR, and getting good GPA. Would you agree interview is the easiest steps of application process? ugh... "writing" the DAT

But to answer your question... yeah, I think it can be as long as you are friendly, sociable, and show an interest in the schools you are interviewing at. I think that it is definately the most fun part of the whole process. It's pretty cool being able to see the different facilities, programs, faculty, and cities. Just do some preparation and show you are excited for being invited there and you shouldn't have too much to worry about.

It could be the easiest part of your application process just as much as it could be the hardest part depending on how well you deal with others. For the shy/timid, it could be a traumatizing event but for more sociable people, they'll have a blast. It really depends on the type of person you are.

Hmmm...personally I thought every aspect of applying last year was hard in it's own respect. As someone who is naturally quiet and shy when first meeting people interviews were very intimidating. Visiting the schools was fun, after the interview everything was pretty good.

Whoa, sorry for pushing a few buttons here, guys! "Writing" the DAT just always sounded funny to me--isn't the prof supposed to write the exams?

I say that I am going to take an exam and everyone else I know says that, but I mean its kind of like people say y'all and others saying you or yous... its all about where you are from... Everyone I know in America calls it "taking" the DAT (or any exam for that matter). I think that since the DAT is an American exam the term should be "taking" the DAT. You can "write" the Canadian DAT all you want, but I'll always "take" my tests.

And as far as to where I am "taking" my tests, I take them out for a nice seafood dinner and then never call them.

To me, "took" the Dat implies physcially taking the test and bringing it somewhere, whereas "write" the dat implies you WROTE the exam, aka you wrote your answers! Bu then again I guess most of you will probably read this and think "Those Canadians EH!"

To me, "took" the Dat implies physcially taking the test and bringing it somewhere, whereas "write" the dat implies you WROTE the exam, aka you wrote your answers! Bu then again I guess most of you will probably read this and think "Those Canadians EH!"

It's interesting because no one has actually "written" anything for the DAT in a long time. It might be more correct to say "I bubbled in the DAT today" or "I clicked on answer choices with a mouse for the DAT today" or "I looked at the DAT today (because most the time while taking the DAT all I did was looke at the screen and read things)"

the Canadian DAT is all written. it isn't done on the computer which is predominantly where the discrepancy arises in my opinion. when i take/write an exam, i usually say "i wrote the exam", even though the instructor is the one actually writing the exam. that being said, for those of you who say you "took the exam", it's not like you took the exam with you. maybe the correct way to look at it is having had an exam administered to you. but who is going to really say that? i know everyone has brought up these points already but i just wanted to re-clarify.

I think the thread has lost its original "question: how easy or tough is the interview process?"..can we please get back to it..although i have got an idea that it all depends on your social skills ..but still if some body has some different opinion.
