is it acceptable to use pieces of last year's PS?

Though I am re-writing my PS, there are a couple of things I explained concisely in my one from last year (I'm a re-app, obviously.) Do you think it would be OK to use those exact same exerpts even though the essay is different on the whole?

Also, would love for volunteers to read my PS, just say the word and I'll PM it... people from the PS thread aren't responding. 😕

I reapplied this year (and withdrew) with a revamped personal statement based on the ideas from the old one with a few new experiences incorporated in there. Your motivation to pursue medicine probably didn't change all that much in a year, so I think it's okay to re-use some parts of the old PS (I used some sentences verbatim).

Sounds like your approach is fine.

I just posted my old PS and my new PS on my MDApplicants profile if you want to take a look; it might help.
