Wanted some opinions if it's in my best interest to get the most recent DAT prep books. Obviously, chemistry is the same in 2017 as it was in 2010 but the test has changed slightly over the years. Just looking to save a few bucks where I can.
Is it better to get most recent DAT prep?

Depends on which books you're using (content review books? practice questions?). Generally I'd try to stay as up to date as possible.
They update the DAT Destroyer every year with new questions and material that the DAT today may cover. They add new questions every year into the DAT especially for Bio. Definitely get the latest material of whatever you can there's a reason why the material gets more dense every year in these prep books.
