Is it customary to receive secondaries before AMCAS is verified?

I have an exception request pending and my AMCAS status is 'active' yet I have received secondaries from UCONN and Ohio State.

I should probably complete these ASAP anyway, right?

thanks.

The non screened ones send em to everyone, even those who aren't verified.

People Chill. Just Go With The Flow. Dont Freak Out. Yes. Some Schools Dont Screen And Youll Get Secondaries Very Early. At All Times During The Process Return Material Asap. That Means Anywhere From A 1-2 Day Turn-around Up To Maybe 1-2 Weeks.

Hurry And Return It. And Chill Cause This Is Gonna Be A Long Process.

Good Luck.

OMG! I just got my first secondary from UConn, too!! My very first secondary... and I just submitted my application to AMCAS on Friday... I didn't know they sent the applications out before verification... but I guess they do...

Good luck, all!

Tryin' to chill, tryin' to chill... ::hyperventilating::

THEY DONT SEND YOUR APP. THEY SEND BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION SO THAT THE SCHOOLS CAN START THE PROCESS...GIVE THEM A HEADS UP. BUT THEY DONT GET YOUR APP...JUST YOUR NAME AND CONTACT INFO. GOOD LUCK.

Ohhhh.... ok, i get it. Docmemi, thanks for the clarification about schools getting our names and addresses first... because yeah, my AMCAS welcome screen does not say "transmitted" and yet the deluge of secondaries has already begun... :scared: hahahah...
