Just took pre-naplex, got only 95🙁
I saw some brand names in the patient profiles and questions I don't recognize. Only two weeks to go before the real test.I am now so worried about the test.

Please give some advice!

Man are you kidding me? You're going to be a pharmacist and you want to be lazy in your studies and just know the top 200? Know everything! Or you can go get sued in the future for your negligence. I hate to be mean but come on...even if you get through the tests you want to help your patients out as much as you can. Don't be another one of those people bringing down our profession. the profession pays you well, don't be one of those who just want to get by and get paid. You got to paid back to the profession as well. We don't really need lazy asses. Sorry to be like this. I want everyone to pass but some lazy people in my experience really don't deserve it. Don't short yourself and lie to yourself. That's all

Flexeril,

Just to calm your nerve, I am taking NAPLEX only to help me get a faculty position in a pharmacy school. I have a PhD degree in pharmaceutics and I won't be practicing pharmacy in a retail or hospital.
It's been almost ten years since I got my BS in pharmacy in China. I understand that I don't have lots hands on experience with drugs, each brand name for me is a totally new word. And I did my internship in a psychiatric clinic all I know is psych drugs. Of course these should not be an excuse for me not to remember all brand names. That is why I have been studying really hard in the past 2 months. I have no intention to spoil the reputation of pharmacist, but I am very confident if I do practice pharmacy in the future I will be a very qualified one, because I care enough.
Now I have two weeks before I take the exam, I would appreciate any constructive advice.

Well I was hoping that to be constructive. For me, I learned a lot more than just the brand names of the top 200. It has helped me a lot b/c I didn't run into any questions that I couldn't answer because I didn't know what the brand name in the question was. In my experience everyone has overstudied for the NAPLEX. HOwever, if they had not overstudied, I don't think they would have passed as well. It's almost hard to say. I also don't think the NAPLEX uses much top 200 because from all the posts that I have read, everyone studies the top 200 last minute. But please please take everyone's advice on here with a grain of salt, and find the style of studying which suits you best. Also, please take the NAPLEX again at least 4 days before your test, so you can reassess your competency.

I had 1 question on my test that specifically asked the generic name of a top 200 drug...there were several q's that only gave you the brand and asked for dosing, indication, ect.
