What's your gpa?

In a way, you are much better off than someone who did engineering or science as an undergrad and *then* decided on medicine. Your average in science and math is probably pristine. 🙂

As for age, you are not a bit too old. Check out the non-traditional forum if you doubt that. What matters at this point is your dedication to the path. Maybe start by shadowing a doctor and then enroll in one or two pre-reqs next semester

1) you are not too old (24 is the average age of accepted students i think)
2) I have no connections to medicine and I have 5 acceptances and several other interviews lined up (with pretty average stats)
3) you are probably a really hot teacher😀

I'm 25 and also got multiple interviews/acceptances. I think it helps to be older, actually. There are a lot of 22 year old biology majors out there who have volunteered in a hospital and "really wanna help people" but have no concrete goals and nothing very compelling about them... those couple extra years can give you the time to become more mature, reflect on your goals, and develop very concrete reasons for wanting to go into medicine.

And before all of the college seniors get mad at me, I know that there are plenty of you out there who are wonderful and interesting and qualified. 🙂

Technically you are never too old to become a doctor. However, if your age starts with a 6 or 7 you are probably too old, practically speaking. Starting at 60 for example you would be an MD at 64, a licensed physician at 67+, leaving you already over the average retirement age with around 10 years until you hit your life expectancy. The physical demands of becoming a physician would be difficult at advanced age as well.

Starting in your 30's or even 40's/early 50's is very doable.

I wholeheartedly agree! While I took a couple years off following HS, I am so glad that I did. I will be around 24 or 25 when I apply and I feel like I am at a different point in my life. I am able to support myself and have had a lot of experiences that have put me on the right track!

Troll post, look at all of the typos and poor sentence construction. No English teacher I know would honestly write like that.
