Hey all,

I am wondering whether I should quit myy 10hr/wk job at a hospital (clinical experience) during this Spring semester to focus more on M-Cat and research. I am planning to take it on April 2011. Or as I said in the tilte should I push my graduation to January 2012 for the sake of research, work and M-cat. I am confused. Do Med School Adcoms look down upon me for not graduating in 4 years under these circumstances? Well, I am transfer student but still if I take 16 credits which includes 2 science classes, I could graduate on time. I love my job and I dont feel like to quit. Plz help me to make a decision. I would appreciate your valuable suggestions. Many Thanks in advance.

if you really love your job then i'm sure the medical schools will love to hear about it and no i don't think they'll care whether you graduate in 4 or 5. just continue to work hard through the extra year building up your stats and EC's.

Is taking a year off post-graduation and taking the MCAT later a possibility?

Yea but hopefully you retain enough info so when you it does come time for you to take the MCAT you will do well.
