Is it ok delay some "additional" pre-reqs until during interviews?

I am a working professional who is finishing his basic 8 pre-reqs this fall. I plan on going back to work in January, taking the DATs in the spring and applying next summer for the 2010 class.

Biochem is required for some of the schools I want to apply to. Also, I might move to Texas next summer and they have a 14 hour Bio requirement

Would it be advisable to put off the BioChem and extra Bio class until next fall or spring 2010, while I'm interviewing? Because if I am already accepted into a non-Texas school while I am interviewing, I may not even need BioChem or the extra Bio class, which would be really sweet. I consider taking them in the night this spring to get them over it but also, I could use the evenings to prep for my DATs. (Btw, the overall and sci. GPAs are both 3.4 and let's assume I hit a 19 across on the board on the exam).

Any advice is greatly appreciated.

P.S. Please try to refrain from taunting me for assuming that I can so easily get that DAT score lol.

I am not taking any extra pre-reqs past the basics until Spring. So no bio-chem, physiology, anatomy, nothing until Spring, hopefully I will have an acceptance by then so I will know what I need to take. Also most all require the bio-chem.

It is absolutely possible, and I would say advisable. I am currently taking physics 1, and will take physics 2 and bio-chem next semester. It hasn't been mentioned in a single one of my interviews. Make sure that you have enough of them done, however, that the adcom can get a flavor for how well you will do in dental school. Too few prerequisites can cause you to be waitlisted until you do your fall update. So yes, I would schedule less important subjects (as far as getting ready for the DAT) until after your AADSAS is submitted.
