Okay, so, the school I applied to still has not contacted me at all. I applied back in November and since this school doesn't do interviews I haven't heard a thing from them. I know of at least one person who heard from them last Friday about an acceptance, so I know they have made some decisions. But, my problem is that I really don't want to take spring/summer classes that I don't need, and the last day to drop one of these classes (and get back all my money) is this Saturday. So I wanted to know if it would be okay if I called the school and gave them my name and asked them what the status of my application is. Would that annoy them, and would they even tell me if I got accepted or not?

You could call them, but I doubt they'll give you a status on your application. In my case, I ended up being even more frustrated from a vague reply than a simple, yes or no.

I would say call them. It wouldn't hurt. I knew someone who actually called another pharmacy school and told them she needed to know their decision on her acceptance ASAP because her deposit for another was to be due soon. They ended up telling her over the phone what the decision was on her acceptance. I don't think a lot of schools let their appilcants know the status over the phone, but dropping an email or a phone call to check wouldn't be a bad idea in your case, especially since you're considering dropping a few classes not needed.
