So I got all of my letters already thinking I was going to apply this cycle, and that includes the committee letter. However, I got a really cool job at the hospital but it is a 2yr commitment. I will get one "new" letter from this job but I will have all the old ones with a year old date (if they put dates on them). Is that okay?

:smack: LOR are about QUALITY more than anything else. I applied in 2009 with letters from 2003 - 2009. They are not looking at the dates so much as the content.

no sweat.

You should get an Interfolio account to "store" those letters. AMCAS will not hold letters from one cycle to the next IIRC.

I believe my school doesn't allow LOR's over two years old, but I'm not 100%.

so is it okay that the committee letter will also be date a year old, and not include my new employer letter?
