So my LOR got lost in the mail according to interfolio and i need to have my letter writer re-send one. The lady at interfolio told me that since i have a deadline and i want them in ASAP, that it would be okay for the letter writer to FAX over my letter to interfolio. I am not sure if this is allowed though...i thought letters cannot be faxed and have to be the original copy?? I mean, after they fax it over or even if its sent in the mail, it still has to be scanned in the computer so it is not the original hard copy anyway. Do you guys think its okay though to have him fax it over to interfolio?? thanks!

does anyone know? sorry im responding so quickly but im trying to get in touch with the doct before his office closes!

Even better... have your writer upload it directly from his/her computer onto interfolio. That's what all of my writers did.

Yeah mine too. That way your referee can also include digital signature (not sure exactly how but they did it).

It will, however, involve the hassle of signing up for interfolio account if your referee doesn't have one already.
