hey all,

i know most programs require 2-3 LORs. Is it okay to send 4 even though they only ask for 2 or 3? All my letters are pretty strong and I'd like to send them all if possible. Thanks for your advice.

It is definitely OK to send more. Some programs disregard the extra letters, but many add them to your file. I recall seeing one file with 5 letters, all outstanding, including one I wrote for this person when I was chief resident last year. It certainly doesn't hurt you.
