Is it possible to get rejected after interview?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Yes you can get rejected post-interview.

most of the time you get placed on a waitlist or on hold for another round of applications.

but you could also get rejected like zurich said.

Most of the time you have a 50% chance of getting in after an interview, or like th other guys said you might be put on a waitlist.

Of course you can get rejected. What's the point of interviewing if they're going to accept everyone who is invited for interview?????😡

I was wondering if it is harder for a person with less then 3.0 GPA to get accepted after an interview? Are the interviewees all on equal ground once they reach the interview?

I used to think this, but in talking with people and from my own interview experiences, I don't think this is true. I think the interview is just to make sure you have a personality and a few social skills as well as to let you get acquainted with their school.

Maybe at some schools, however I think at most schools when the committee sits down to make a decision, they take all of the factors into consideration, including GPA, DAT, and interview performance.

just wondering...
If someone is invited to an interview, is it almost same thing as getting accepted? (just matter of time?)

Is there anybody who got rejection letter after interview?

yeah... I got rejection letter from Az, 2 months after the interview.
