Is it possible to receive an email when a specific topic is discussed on SDN?

I know you can subscribe to a thread, but I was wondering if it is possible to make a "rule" in your account settings that every time a post that contains a term (say, "UTSW", or "MGH") is created, you receive an email. Can this be done through SDN or the SDN App?

SDN uses vBulletin software. I'm staff for one of the larger vB websites and I've never heard of that feature.

Not a bad idea. I could set it up so that everytime someone mentions MD vs. DO vs. PA vs. NP, I could get an e-mail, though I don't think google has enough storage space for that....

I think LizzyM does something where she gets notified when her name is used, but I have no idea how she actually does it (it might be a google search instead of a feature of SDN).
