Hello everyone. I just wanted to ask if it is possible for me to get acceptances to the programs I was considering based on my stats.

My overall GPA is a 3.3 and science GPA is a 3.2. I recently got my MCAT score back but because I freaked out i did not do as well as my avg practice tests (34). I got a 8 PS, 8 VR, 10 BS, N writing. I know my score is low so I was wondering if I should go ahead and apply early or retake mcat in January and then apply. I have good EC like research, emt, shadowing, and i manage a small business. I was considering the following programs. Georgetown, Temple, Columbia (institute of nutrition), Commonwealth, Boston MAMS, Loyola MAMS, Tufts, Harvard extension. I contacted some of the directors of the programs and asked what they thought of my low MCAT score but I was encouraged to apply. Would I have a better chance with a mcat retake or should i just apply early. Now this is a list i have so far but if you guys can recommend some others that would be great. So what do you guys think? Is it Possible?

well if u re-take the mcat in Jan and nail it , u be applyin a little late, when most of the seats are prolly taken , but considering ur gpa , u'll get in somewhere, but if u apply early , im afraid ur low mcat would even hurt u more bc most of the ppl who apply( even those who apply early) have at least a 29 , so think about it.

Depends if you wish to retake your MCAT. You'll want a 30+ for most of those that you listed above. I would take Temple off your list if you'er applying after you retake the MCAT due to the intense competition for their guaranteed admissions program.

With your current MCAT/GPA, I'd aim for RFU MBS, VCU CERT or Univ. of Toledo MBS unless you wish to consider osteopathic school.

Id take Columbia-Nutrition off your list - its not really well suited to this process
