Is it realistic to select undergrad for professional schools?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
I am planning on transferring from my current 4 year uni. I'm not going to explain it. I am simply miserable here and I want to spend my college years somewhere else. It is not a good school and I only came here because it was my safety.

I am planning on transferring to OSU or UW. Is it realistic for me to look at dental and pharmacy schools in this state? Am I planning too far ahead by looking at market saturation, starting salary, schools, neighborhoods, etc?

I know going out of state will be expensive..I want to get in-state but is it realistic to go to school in state of your undergrad?

Pretty sure both of those states only have 1 dental school. So if you plan on doing in-state you're taking a little bit of a risk i suppose.

Why not consider Univ of Illinois U-C...with decent grades you're almost guaranteed a spot at UIC or Southern

No good pharm school if i choose to go that route. UIUC will be hard as anything..I want a challanging college exp but I don't want to end up with a 2.0 gpa and not be able to pursue a career I really love and care about.

If I was in your position(I can only speak about dental schools)I'd think about going to states like Ohio, Florida, Kentucky. I will def prefer to stay away from saturated markets(seems like all big places are saturated to me now) not saying Florida isn't but def not areas like NY, Boston and Cali but thats just me.

Go to whatever undergrad university you wish, because when it comes down to it you will have to apply broadly for dental school admissions.
