...for me to expect to get assigned an EM resident during my EM rotation? The IM resident I have is gret and all, but she is just not as into procedures, etc. I watched all the other med students having fun with their EM residents last shift and I felt like crying. Why me?

Sorry to hear that. Didn't you get to see your own patients and then present to the attending or senior resident?

...or just ask for another resident from the admin. They should/will understand if you are miserable.

They say there are not enough residents to go around b/c there are so many medical students (so I am one of 2 left high and dry). We only get to present to the attendings in the last week of the rotation....🙁 I don't mean to be prejudiced, but it's not like I had an EM resident during IM...

August to November tend to be heavy on med students in sub-Is that want to get letters. It's tough to work with everyone.
