How many interviews would one need to put themselves in good standing of matching?

My school told us 10-12, but they were really making sure everyone gets a spot. In family medicine, what had really helped me was to do audition rotations at the programs I was interested. Granted I matched at my #1 program and I did let them know why I was interested in their program.
