If i'm applying for the 2013-2014 cycle (next year), and one of my professors said they're already willing to write a LOR. Is it too early to send it through interfolio and keep it for now?

I'm just paranoid I don't get in that cycle, and when I apply the letter will be 1.5-2 yrs old almost ..

I just realized this is actually a different thread than the one someone else just made with the exact same question.

Sent from my SGH-T999 using SDN Mobile

Its not too early. In fact I would actually recommend that you get as many done early as you can.

I have told my professors that I will need a LOR from them in the future, but I have had them write it yet because I don't need it right now.

Snatch as many of those suckers up as you can.

By suckers I mean lollipops.

Definitely not too early. Get an interfolio account and have them uploaded to your profile until you can add them to your app.

It's better to have a professor or whoever write something for you as soon as you can if you don't take anymore classes with them or stopped shadowing a doc or whatever. This way they still have you fresh in their mind and can write a good letter instead of "Uhhhh, he was really good. That's all I remember".
