So I took 2 summer classes and got A's in them. I know this isn't significant, but I do want to let medical schools know at some point. The reason I wish to include these is cus my post-bacc didn't get off to a strong start, so I would like to show a continued upward trend in my grades; also, my GPA is the weak point of my application. Should I let medical schools I applied to know now, even though I haven't heard back from any? Is it better to just let them know asap so that it improves my chances of getting an interview (even a tiny bit)? I don't have much to say besides these grades, since I am just continuing activities already listed in my application.

The appropriate time to up-date schools is usually at the end of a semester. Technically, summer semester did just end, and if you have already sent your primaries, then realistically they are probably wondering your what your grades were for this term.

When did you start the postbac (aka, how long ago were the mediocre grades)? Have you already demonstrated an upward grade trend since starting the postbac?

Started last fall and that quarter was mediocre. Have gotten a 4.0 since then

IF the schools allow for updates, send them only with or after secondaries.

Two more A grades won't make or break your application. I suggest waiting until the upcoming fall term grades are in to give the update more impact, unless a Secondary prompt gives you an opportunity to add the information there.

This summer is my last quarter taking classes, but I am currently job-hunting. What if I updated medical schools with my grades now and then again around 1-2 months when I have already started working somewhere? Would that be too much?

I'd still suggest waiting until fall for the grade update, but earlier, like October-ish since you won't be waiting for grades. AMCAS med schools will not recalculate your application GPAs after seeing the new grades, you know. An exception to waiting would be any school that actively encourages updates of any kind, as often as you like. There are a few out there. And you can mention any continued volunteering at the same time.
