I have a 3.4 undergrad gpa, 3.8 in an smp, and 512 MCAT.

Is it too late to send an application to DO schools? And do I need a DO letter? I could get an MD letter, but probably not a DO.

You aren't late. A DO letter is helpful, but not critical unless you're applying to certain schools. Others require a letter form any physician (MD or DO). Your numbers are very good. Start a thread in the What Are My Chances sub-forum.

MD letter is fine. Your stats are outstanding for DO and even at this point in the application process you would likely be able to take your pick of schools.

Some schools might want to a DO letter, others will accept one from an MD.
