Why would you not apply to your IS schools. They basically only accept IS applicants.

I say apply! I've read about people moving to Texas for the sole reason of being able to apply to the Texas schools. They are wonderful schools. Even if your chances are less than they will be next year, what if you get in? How awesome would that be?
If you have the money, I'd say go for it. Even if you get rejected, you have a good plan for next year already. Rooting for ya @Gymgivitis

Was pursuing a MS in Texas not an option? I've known people would would move to Texas just to be considered an IS applicant. Good luck on pursuing your Masters though! I would have all of the required parts of your application finished so you can submit early next year if you choose not to do it this cycle.
Okay I'll see what I can do. My rec letter writers are gonna absolutely love the short notice lol. But you pretty much summed up how I feel. I don't really have anything to lose since I won't be reapplying to those specific schools so I wouldn't have to change my PS and letters if I like them as is.I say apply! NC has a masters program I'm also interested in. And there are other personal reasons for pursuing that route. Was pursuing a MS in Texas not an option? go for it, i think you'll have a shot. your AA is great and you showed a great upward trend. if i were you, get on the application and apply these next few days, and just wait on your rec letters
Might as well take your chance and apply. Worst case you out 150, best case you get to start dental school a year early. I say go allin and take a chance.
Lol starting my app tonight! Wish me luck and good luck to all of you currently in the cycle!

Sleep when you're dead amirite?
Not even! You'll lose even more sleep constantly checking your application status and worrying when you see other people get interviews!
