Is it too soon to check to see if I passed??

Here's the deal. I logged on to the NBOME website and then tried to schedule another COMLEX exam, but I got an error message from the Prometric site (using my NBOME ID number) saying "Thank you, but the identification number entered is not recognized". What does that mean??!! Hopefully, that means I passed. Otherwise, it may just be too soon to re-register! 🙂

Anybody try this trick yet? I'm not sure, but the error message from Prometric may be due to the fact that we can't take the computerized exam yet. Any thoughts?

i tried this a couple of weeks ago and it wouldnt let me sign in, i tried yesterday and it did. i got my score today and i passed, so this trick doesnt work.

Today my school says scores won't be here until the first week of August. You got your COMLEX score already? How??

Good point. Hmmmm? My friend called the NBOME today to ask what the deal was and they said first or second week of August too.

Are we talking about Step 1 or 2 here? I ask because you wouldn't go to the Prometric site to re-register for Step 1, since the next administration of Step 1 is written, and given in October. You would register for that through the NBOME site directly, not Prometric. If we ARE discussing Step 1, then that would be why you received that message. If you are talking about Step 2, then disregard everything I've written. In addition, I thought that we received different numbers for Prometric than the NBOME ID# (not even digits), but I could be wrong about that also.

I *did* try to register for October's step 1 on NBOME and it lets me get up to the last screen, but it says Exam fee $395, $0 due. Who knows what that means.

we were told our dean of academic afairs would receive the scores on monday, and that we should know our scores about a week from today (this is at MSU)

So is it true that the scores are available on the nbome site before the schools actually receive them? Technically, if the schools receive the scores monday, we should be able to call the school on monday and find out (3 days?!?).... my blood pressure was doing so well today...

i have no clue about availability of scores through nbome, but i am pretty sure that the schools find out about scores well in advance of students being available to. historically i believe you either have to just wait for snail mail, or hear about your score from the school a few days before the letter arrives. if you find out otherwise, let us know!
