Is it true that NYU will mail me a letter (notifying acceptance, reject, or wait-list) on Dec. 1th if I had a interview already? Thank you

When I interview in mid-October, my interviewer told me I would definitely hear something by Dec. 1, and if I didn't, to call and see what was going on. I'll take that as a yes 🙂

When I interviewed, the admissions director told us that they would mail out letters on Nov. 30 - whether it is a rejection, waitlist or acceptance. So if you get really good mail service, then maybe you'll get it on Dec 1, otherwise you'll probably get it Dec 3 or later. She said that they overnight letters to Canada, so you'll get those on Dec 1 prob. Also, she said don't call asking if you got in or not because the office doesn't like to disclose that info over the phone, only call if you haven't recieved anything by the end of the week of Dec 3. If you're in Canada, and they do overnight on Nov 30, then you'll probably have to wait until monday to get anything. Since our lovely Canada Post does not deliver on Saturdays. Well at least I don't think they do. Assuming that the overnight delivery is through the post office

I really hope they will call or email tomorrow just to surprise everyone (I'm keeping hope alive here 😀) The director did indeed say that they will mail on Nov 30th. If anybody calls them tomorrow and gets a positive response please come back and post it. Thanks!
