I heard this from a friend and I was wondering if it was true. I heard that some carib med school will admit students if they have a bachelors and have a significant amount of credentials but they lack science subjects. An example was my friends cousin who had a 3.8gpa overall and had only completed Biology 1 and 2 and neglected to complete any chemistry. He had the clinical experience and other various extracirriculars. Do Carib med schools really make exceptions? If so I dont necessarily think that this is a bad thing. I personally dont think that Gen Chem is going determine if you will make it through med school. I feel that if you are a hard worker and maintain a good work ethic you will make it. Besides Bio Chem is nothing like Gen or Organic Chem..it is more of a retaining subjects that is based on subject. Memorization is a large part of it unlike Gen Chem and organic where there are mostly equations and conversions. Can someone give me some insight on what they think about this and do you think that it is a bad thing if indeed these exceptions are made.
