I've Spoken With Some Suny Grads And They All Said That If They Had To Do It Again They Would'nt Go There Again. They Send There Clinical Rotations Are Terrible That Is Why So Many Of Them Want To Do Residences. Has Anyone Else Heard This?

I think a lot of people choose to go on to complete residencies to get additional clinical experience, but also because it gives graduates an edge in applying for more competitive job opportunities.

One of the issues of clinical rotations is their legality with state optometry laws. Some laws prevent unlicensed and non-degreed personnel from performing certain actitivities.

Therefore, clincial rotations can never be equated with medical clinical rotations whereby the medical students are not bound by any constrained state laws.

Of course, I have my own opinion of clinical rotations as they are designed now and will answer in private if you wish.
