Is it worth finishing preclinical B&B in preparation 3rd year and Step 2?

For each system I end up finishing like ~75-80% of the B&B videos and associated AnKing tags. I make sure to finish all Pathoma and Sketchy videos related to a system, but should I also just finish up B&B for each system? Is that info worth it going into 3rd year and Step 2, or is it wasted effort?

Spend whatever time you have left over focusing on questions, third year has it's own minutiae and the majority of info that carries over is seen in the way they ask questions rather than specific nuances as in BnB videos. If you are already doing questions, find a hobby or something you enjoy doing.

The people in my class who matured AnKing (and thus yeah finished B and B) do better than everyone else grades wise. B and B is really just First Aid for step 1 in audio format.

Is it worth it for your career goals? Idk. It will raise your step 2 and shelf scores yeah. None of that step 1 material ever goes away, you just see it less often proportionally. But the students who hang onto that knowledge get better scores.

If you want to do primary care I wouldn’t worry about it. If you want to do derm I probably would.

This is of course assuming you’re already doing all of UWorld. This would be in addition to that

Should I just start UWorld now? I've been doing ABMOSS (we got a huge discount for it) and saving UWorld until next year, bc someone told me UWorld is best done within 6 months.

If you're in a traditional curriculum (2 full years before your third year) I'd at least wait until 2nd year to start it. If you don't have mandatory class I think getting through it all in 6 months is completely reasonable.

Keep doing amboss, just focus on what you have learned or are currently learning for the question sets. Amboss was super helpful and I was getting mid 70s on Uworld when I was starting dedicated because of it.

I agree with this. If there is one thing I would do differently for med school, it would be to use Amboss, which I found out too late was particularly good for learning the "systems processes" (e.g., the Swiss cheese model, Six Sigma, PDSA, etc.).
