Just took first AAMC practice test today and scored a 29. I still haven't learned a ton of gen chem and a good amount of physics, but with only 3 weeks left until June 18, I was wondering:

If it made the difference between a 30 on the june mcat and a 32-33 on the july mcat, would that extra month's delay be worth the extra few points or not?

I'm debating whether to postpone....

I thought about changing mine from June to July too, but there weren't any seats left in my state.

Is your name Isopure taken from the name of the Whey Protein Drink? If so you're my new best friend.

Anyways- It's worth it if you would truly raise your score from a 30 to a 32-33. Yes you will apply kind of late...and that will hurt you, but as long as your done with secondaries but mid august you are fine

I am in the same boat, have been thinking about changing from June 18th to July cause i really just started studying 2 weeks ago cause of a stupid semester...for me it was about whether i would be efficient with my extra time and i get the feeling i won't be, so the extra time will be worth nothing...but if u think that u are going to improve u could always take it in july and apply without seeing your scores so u won't be late with secondaries

I'm impressed dude...must say I didn't expect anyone to know bout Iso....anyways, if I take the July 17th MCAT, this means my score will be in around Aug 17th. Should I aim to send in my primary app before I take the MCAT or would it be better to do it right after my MCAT is done? I can tell that application takes a while so if it won't do much good to send it early I'd rather spend that time studying more for the MCAT.

I am taking it June 18th- and am gonna do my AMCAS like by June 20th. It takes a month to get my scores anyways and about the same amount of time to get verified for AMCAS (although I know many people verified in under 2 weeks).

I'd say study now, maybe work on your personal statement. Take that MCAT and rock it, then do AMCAS...gotta wait on your scores for most secondaries anyways
