Hi, I am predental student and just wondering...
Is it all worth to go through another 4 years of school(dental school) while most other college graduates start to make money right after college?

How would salaries of a person who graduated from dental school and a person who started to make money right after college in 10 years?

$$$$ is always nice, but if you want a dental education, it SHOULD be because you enjoy and have a passion for the profession and not because of "is it worth it"! Remember, you'll have to invest ~ $130 thousand (public schools) or > $200 thousand (private) first for your 4 years of dental education before you can even earn money. So for your case, not only will you not make money (if you were to start working right away after college), but you'll have to spend more for a dental education! If dentistry is your number 1 choice profession and your true passion career, it shouldn't matter how much $$$ you'll have to invest OR the oppoturnity cost OR how much you'll make once your out of dental school. I question your motive?

Bottom line, if dentistry is your TRUE passion, then it's "worth it"!!
