Is Kaplan NBDE prep course helpful for part 1 Test? Please need your input

I need to know if taking the NBDE part 1 course will help me obtain a good score for the test. I need advice for past test takers. Can you please tell me if you took 3-month or 6-month course. Were you satisfied with your score? Also what do you think of the teaching technique of Kaplan NBDE experts? Do they teach memnonics? Please help.

hi, i took it and honestly, i feel like i wasted $700. If i were you, i wouldnt do it....its really no help...they just give u a 900 page book and thats it.
this is my opinion...and does not reflect anybody elses.
there are no teachers, its all self study!

EXACTLY,even i took it too,its waste of money,they dont give u any notes to take home,no one in one attention,bascially nutshell is if u have all the material (which is easily avialbale) dont waste money on this kaplans preperation and study urself at home or library and in th end utilise this money ON KAPLANS Q BANK OR CRACK THE NBDE, i m repenting on tking it😉) hope it helps

hi..it helped me to stay committed and go thewre and put in 8 hours of prep..also, i went through all the usmle dvd's and it helped me..because i was out of touch with those subjects since 8 years..

guys, what about if we study from Kaplan lect notes for NBDE? is it also waste of time and money?
is q bank same as those question that they give online?
cos Im not residing in US. can someone plz help?

kaplan ,decks,first aid books are just review books.it may give you a plan for study.but if you took those classes 15 years ago like me its better to study first from a real book in my opinion.

also kaplan nbde center prep is a complete waste of money,i tried to watch biochemisty video and the lecturer was reading whats written in book word by word unfortunately poorly.they have some q/a tests and released examinations with explanations which's good.also some practise tests but real easy questions and far from real exam format.
