Is my 2/25 NYU interview really late?

Hello SDN. I was fortunate enough this morning to receive an interview from NYU. I scheduled the interview for 2/25. Is that considered really late? My stats are not all that great. I submitted early (end of June), took the DAT beginning of August. What do you guys think the chances are of interviewing in late Feb?

You are likely interviewing for a waitlist spot. However, you could still get in as a lot of students decline NYU's offer due to its expensive tuition, cost of living and very large class size.

What are your stats? If your stats are good, who knows, they might offer you an acceptance directly. Congrats and good luck!

Feb for me too! 😳

if you look on predents you see some people being interviewed in Feb/March of last year and get accepted a week later. My guess is that you are not being interviewed for wait-list positions and that they decide almost on the spot whether you are accepted or not and send snail mail to notify you.

Just got an interview invite today as well. I haven't called yet, but plan on calling first thing tomorrow morning to schedule an interview. Out of curiosity what interview dates did they have available?

Interview dates will be Mondays and Fridays. Be prepared!

My stats are: Overall GPA 2.95, Science GPA 2.8, Masters (1 year) 3.89. 20 AA / 20 TS / 18 PAT.

I'm going to try to see if I can go for an earlier date.

The dates are not late. They still have room in their classes. NYU will let you know in advanced If you are getting invited for interview for "Wait List".

At my interview, Dr. Mejia said that they really liked to see upward trends (probably why I got in) so good job and good luck!!
