Is Optometry future outlook better than Podiatry?

Hi guys, I know that there is saturation with Optometry but I wanted to know how it compares to Podiatry in terms of future outlook and opportunity cost. Thanks!

You don't have a mandatory 3 year residency.

While we do get paid during residency, it is only enough to eat.

That's 3 years of lost wages.

Considered both and picked podiatry.

Optometrists were a bit more positive.

Podiatrists told me to go dental/DO/MD/PA.

No prob. Liking it more than I thought I would.

I respect the education you guys (gals) go through in OD school.
Sat in on a few courses and they are on par with MD/DO/DPM/DDS programs. Your neuro courses are killer.
