Is PGY-2 needed to become DOP or clinical coordinator? Can one become a DOP or Clinical Coordinator without residency? Probably not Clinical Coordinator though. What is the reason for a PGY-2? I know it's to specialize, but can't you work/train in the specialty without doing residency and becoming a specialist that way?

Can one become a DOP or Clinical Coordinator without residency? YES; however, unlikely for a current new-graduate pharmacist. For a 45 year old with 20 years experience of management and a MBA/MHA, of course.
What is the reason for a PGY-2? Because PGY-1's apply for them.

Will residency make it faster in this case?
