This is a question from barron DAT practice exam.

Which are considered to be a true cell?

Erythrocytes
Leukocytes
Platelets

Platelet is not a definitely blookd cell since it is a just cell liquid fragment.
Leukocytes are as you know important cells that work for immune system.

But erythrocyte (even though we call it red blood cell), it doesn't have a nucleus. Then it is wrong to consider the true cells. Isn't it?
What makes it actually a cell to be a true cell?

I'm not sure but if I had to guess I would say that Leukocytes are true cells. You already mentioned why platelets aren't true cells. In the Kaplan Blue Book I remember it saying that form follows function. Since Red Blood Cells are primarily used for transport, it doesn't have organelles. So based on that I would assume that RBC's are not true cells. I hope I'm right...

RBC = Red Blood Corpuscle, not Red Blood Cell. I'd go with leukocytes

The actual answer has erythrocytes too! DAmn barron!
Every single answer doesn't match with the question!(bit exaggeration)
