Don't have any publications or conferences attended, but should I still go ahead and mark research as 1 of my 3 most meaningful activities?

I would talk about how it taught me the scientific process, and the process of addressing questions, developing experiments, drawing conclusions, and creating more questions for future work. Would this be too generic and be better off listing another activity as most meaningful or should I go ahead with selecting research as one?

Did anyone on here list research as most meaningful who didn't have any pubs or presentations?

I mean, I didn't list research as being most meaningful on my app. But that's simply because it wasn't.

In your case, was your research experience 1 of 3 most meaningful experiences? If so, as @LizzyM says, check it off!

Think: honesty. Not: Which one looks less generic.

If it is true, then check it as being so.

I have 2 other activities which definitely were most meaningful to me. Research would just serve as the third meaningful activity to reach the max of 3. Yes, I know you are not required to have 3 but I could write about how research gave me knowledge about the scientific process. Would this explanation be worth a MM selection or will secondaries/interviews have more appropriate questions where I can explain what research taught me.

It's worthy if it was very meaningful to you…you might think we're avoiding your question…BUT WE AREN'T. Nobody except you can make the call. There is no "threshold of meaningfulness" for a MM selection…if it was meaningful to you, then all you have to do is write how/why….EASY.

@radioactive15 Secondaries may ask questions about research/meaningful activities, but the AMCAS will be where you can give the most explanation from the very beginning, so it's recommended to write about it if you have plenty to say. Interviews will allow you to elaborate those activities in person.

If you have to ask it may not be a MM experience (joking)
I agree with what others said. For me research was a huge part of my undergrad career and helped me solidify that I wanted to be physician. It gave me a glimpse into the day by day life of a researcher, and I knew it just was not for me. So in that way it was incredibly meaningful.

I don't think an adcom member is going to be like "omg i can't believe they chose THAT as most meaningful, instant rejection!" It's not up to someone else to make a judgement of what was most meaningful to YOU. If you can explain it well, and why it was meaningful, then it is.

This does sound like you can write about so let me make it meaningful

This statement best captures how I feel about it. I will try to choose another experience to write about and if not, then I will only select 2 as MM instead of forcing the 3rd.
