Is Rowan one of the more established DO schools?

Is Rowan considered one of the more established DO schools? I'm currently applying to DO medical schools and was wondering if I should add this one to the list. I saw on SDN that it was originally UMDNJ but because of state issues or something, that it became affiliated with Rowan. Did this have any effect on Rowan itself?

Rowan is a great program! They have an MD school as well, as well as their own teaching hospital I believe (I may be mistaken on this one). Definitely add it to your list if you think you're competitive for it.

They do, for both MD and DO campuses.

OP, no, being part of Rowan did not affect anything. The staff are all still the same. Rowan is a great school, and everyone treats each other like part of a family. I know I'm a bit biased because I'm a student there, but I've never got this feeling anywhere else I interviewed.

Awesome, thanks for the heads up. Is there much overlap between Rowan MD and DO students? Do they do the same rotations together? Also, if you don't mind me asking, where else did you interview?

Cooper MD and RowanSOM in separate campuses like 15 minutes apart. Our classes are separate, but I'm not sure about the rotations.

I've also interviewed at both LECOM's, CUSOM and CCOM. I cancelled my interview at KCOM.
