I took a course in summer of 2005 in my home institution. On my transcrpt, it is listed under 2004-2005 academic year category. But it seems that AMCAS is considering it as part of the 2005-2006 academic year? When I inputted the summer course in AMCAS application with 2004-2005 as academic year, the course was listed before the rest of 2004-2005 courses in sequential order. I think it might be trivial enough that it won't cause much delay in transcript verification, but I didn't want to take a chance. Does anyone have an idea?

AMCAS considers the summer session to be the start of an academic year, as in summer 2005 should be listed as part of the 2005-2006 academic year. It should be entered this way regardless of how any other institution lists it. If you click help on AMCAS and dig around in there you'll find something to confirm this.
