I Will Be Taking Physics 102 w/ lab , Organic Chem 2 w/ lab , and general biochemistry next semester. I need to get A in all of them. Is it too risky to take 3 sciences next semester, especially since physics and orgo is 5 credits each?

The answer all similar threads get : depends on what kind of student you are. You will find plenty of SDNers telling you that they have done harder, and just as many others telling you it is too much. Personally, I think any schedule is doable with enough planning and hard work. Sorry for the non answer, but no one can tell you what you can or can't handle expect you.

Not really, but it depends on the courses and the type of person. Best of luck!

To stay on the safe side, take two of the three. I would do physics and orgo2 and save biochem for next sem.

Agree
Physics and ochem = doable
But I would not do the third one
Maybe take an easier science or. a math if you want 3 sciences

I personally found biochem easier after taking ochem. Have you taken 3 relatively heavy science courses before? And what other commitments do you have this semester (research, jobs, etc)?

I think it depends on your overall schedule (job, volunteer, research, etc.). The schedule seems doable, but I'll recommend taking biochem after o chem 2 (it was a requirement at my school)

I did this for 2 years. You'll be fine.

3+ science/math courses is normal for a chemistry major, so it's plenty doable.

I have done 3+ science courses per semester, every semester. But I have an unusually solid intuition for those classes. You just have to look at your past performance taking 2 science courses in a semester. How well did you do? How close were you to missing A's in some of your courses? How much extra time did you have for leisure during crunch time as it went toward the end of the semester?

If you can honestly evaluate the answer to those three questions, you will be able to answer for yourself whether or not you could squeeze in another science class and still get an A. For example, if you took two science classes last semester and barely got by with A's and all of your time was basically booked, don't take 3+ science courses this semester.

If you haven't taken two science classes at the same time before, then definitely don't start by taking three. 🙄

Good luck! 🙂
